No, it has the user's password on some IMAP server somewhere, not
(necessarily) on the machine that the Web server is running on.

I guess that the first one come in sendmail as
adminsis@forest.transact.ca and the second as
adminsis@www.sisterstreet.com
Or something similar to that scénario.
You should add www.sisterstreet.com (or whatever) to your
gernerics domain lists (the list of domain which will be passed thrue
genericstable) :
In your sendmail.mc :
GENERICS_DOMAIN(your domain list)dnl
You can also define a GENERICS_DOMAIN_FILE.
In sendmail.cf GENERICS_DOMAIN is
CGdomain list
and GENERICS_DOMAIN_FILE is
FGdomain file
