I have horde installed and can login if I auth with ftp. If I switch to
imap I get the following error in my browser:

Warning: Certificate failure for localhost: self signed certificate:
/C=--/ST=SomeState/L=SomeCity/O=SomeOrganization/OU=SomeOrganizationalUnit/C
N=localhost.localdomain/Email=root at localhost.localdomain (errflg=2) in
Unknown on line 0

I have the ssl option in horde.php set to 0 also my log looks like this:
Mar 30 02:24:40 HORDE [error] [horde] FAILED LOGIN for username
[192.168.10.69] to Horde [on line 43 of "/var/www/html/horde/login.php"]

I can login to imap via telnet without a problem. Has any one seen this
type of problem

Thanks

Scott

Quoting Scott Hood <scotth at solucentrix.com>:

 * NOTE: If you are using a self-signed server certificate with with either
 * imap/ssl or pop3/ssl, you MUST add /novalidate-cert at the end of the
 * protocol string. So for imap, this would be "imap/ssl/novalidate-cert",
 * and for pop3 it would be "pop3/ssl/novalidate-cert". This is necessary
 * to tell c-client not to complain about the lack of a valid CA on the
 * certificate.
