I have a demo server running

http://compserv.bsfc.ac.uk/horde/

login : -  hordetest
passwd : - hordetest

if you go to compose, type in some garbage and then run spell checker, it
does not correct any spellings

Is there an actual error/problem that you are having?
Your question is pretty vague.
If you want general info you read the Readme to get the actual setup
info.
