[horde] singleton() and ftp_get() conflict?

I suppose you're right, it is most likely a PHP problem, but even so, it won't do much good telling the people responsible for ftp_get that some function named singleton() breaks it. So I am trying to isolate the error, and was curious if anyone had prior knowledge of this thing. And of course I'm also still interested in any possible work-arounds, so I can make my program work.
