[horde] NEED HELP - LDAP...

Hello!
 
            I have Horde 2.1 with IMP 3.1 and Turba 1.1
I have configured my slapd server (openldap) configured it in turba's
config file. When I browse the "shared directory" it says that there are
no entries. which is fine because there isn't any. When I try and `add`
entries into the "Shared Directory" it says . "There was an error adding
this object. Contact your system administrator for further help."
 
I think my problem is permissions or maybe access rights to the ldap
database. although I have the line:
 
access to *
       by * write
 
Which should give write privileges right?

I have no idea. can anyone please help me? This is very urgent.
 
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
