I had the problem you describe as well. (I too am using Mandrake 9.0 as my
server) I was using mozilla 1.3a when I saw the problem.
If you search the horde and IMP mailing list archives for css related topics,
you should see some good info to get you started on solving the problem. I
believe someone submitted a patch to horde that might fix your problem. I also
detailed what I did to fix things on my implementation. You should be able to
find that in the archives as well.

There is an IMP list -> imp at lists.horde.org
I am using Mozilla 1.3b and it works fine with IMP (CVS HEAD CURRENT). I did
however see CSS problems with Mozilla 1.1 in other projects. It may be an
issue
with Mozilla. At the time, I did not persue it, I just upgraded to Mozilla
1.2
and it fixed my problem.
