[horde] storing extra user information

I wish to extend the user data stored in horde.

Currently, the SQL backend only supports username and password. I want to
extend this to store a UID, GID, homedirectlry, shell password, shell, address,
real name, email address etc. etc.

What would be the best method of doing this?
I did hack something together to do it for the old framework, but I wouldn't
mange it wiht the built in account management in horde. Will I need to do a
lot of hacking to the basic horde framework to support all this? or are there
methods that I don't know about for supporting this kinda of modification?

Many Thanks,
