[horde] RE:Where is the mail?

Peters, Michael D. Michael.Peters at acbl.net
Mon Apr 21 12:01:49 PDT 2003

I found in my home directory, a directory called "mail" that contained all
the sent items. Great! So this explains my question about where the mail is.
The problem still exists that qmail will drop mail into the maildir/new
directory and not the mail/inbox directory. For giggles I linked the
maildir/new into mail/new and under my browser login, I can see all my
waiting mail in another directory besides the "inbox".

Does anyone know where these directories are configured so that I can see
then when logging into horde/imp?

Best regards,

Michael D. Peters

hey guys, i was just noticing something with the signup procedures in horde,
it
seems that if you log in directly into IMP, the signup link doesn't appear
with
the current cvs release. it seems that it will only appear if you let horde
handle the authentication - i just updated the entire tree and it hasn't
changed, but perhaps i'm missing something?
i do have it enabled in the conf.php, both values - signup and authorise -
set
to true.
another note, if you're not using mysql to authenticate users, where is the
signup request supposed to be sent? i've tried to track that down in the
code,
but i haven't had a chance to really take a look into it.

Cheers,

Rodolfo

ok i just committed something, but now i'm having second thoughts. the
signup
link is dependant on both the conf.php values being set *AND* the auth
backend
having add capability.

would backends used by imp auth ever have add capability?

No, but I can see having a signup backend that just took requests for
account creation, and queued them up for a real admin to deal with?

yes that definately makes sense... so the add capability shouldn't really be
the
test whether to show the link or not, but rather it would fall back to
queueing
the requests *if* it doesn't have add capability.

You didn't configure IMP, or at least not properly.

Jan.

Yes, I did, but obviously have not understood something. As I said,
everything works just fine in browsers other than IE 6. I don't know
where to begin looking for the issue since I actually did follow
instructions, or so I thought, to configure IMP. Should this go to the
IMP list?

Please understand that this is entirely new to me. I appreciate the help.

Hi! I got a problem on Trash folder, every time i delete a message, it will
have 2 copies in the Trash folder. Please notice i have modified the
imp/config/pref.conf to:

// should we move messages to a trash folder instead of just marking
// them as deleted?
// a value of 0 = no, 1 = yes
$_prefs['use_trash'] = array(
    'value' => 1,
    'locked' => false,
    'shared' => false,
    'type' => 'checkbox',
    'desc' => _("When deleting messages, move them to your Trash folder
instead of marking them as deleted?")
);

its running on Horde 2.2.1 + Imp 3.2.1

Is it a bug or my configuration problem...? Thankyou very much!!

Yes - though I can see some sites wanting to queue requests even if the
backend would support adding, just as a policy issues. If you want to get
into insane flexibility. :)

I just recently (now) updated my HEAD version of Horde/Imp. Upon logging
in, I get the following message now:

Notice: unserialize()
[<http://www.php.net/function.unserialize>function.unserialize]: Error at
offset 0 of 10 bytes in /usr/local/www/mail/webmail/horde/lib/Auth.php on

started at /usr/local/www/mail/webmail/horde/lib/Auth.php:412) in

Anyway to quick fix this?

Thanks.

Put an @ in front of the unserialize call (done in CVS).

I can log into the system fine. I can send messages out fine. I do not see
inbox messages that arrive in my home directory maildir.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong here? If it matters, this is a Solaris
9 Sparc.

Best regards,

Check to make sure your imap software is not set to move deleted messages to
a trash folder also.
