See the list archives, as several people have reported that logging doesn't
work with the latest PEAR LOG packages, and that going back a few versions
of the PEAR LOG package fixes logging.  No one has yet tracked down why
it doesn't work with newer PEAR versions, though any input on that would
be greatly appreciated.
