[horde] Initial authentication problems

According to the framework's Auth/sql.php, it's disabled by default, but 
just in case I added "$conf['auth']['params']['show_encryption'] = 
'false';" to my horde/config/conf.php, but it didn't help anything. This 
brings me to another question, though. I have "$conf['auth']['driver'] = 
'sql';" in my conf.php. This will use the $conf['sql'] information, right? 
Or do I need to recreate the SQL information for $conf['auth'] like in 
stable?
