[horde] Creating a valid horde/imp session from anotherapplication.

I want to plug Horde/IMP into our application, not the other way around.

If you are authenticating on the same backend, you could easily integrate
the
modules of your secure website into a horde portal; I'm using that strategy
with horde HEAD and it works well (using the same session name and the
credentials).

I think it would be simpler than to do the opposite...
