[horde] LDAP username question

I had posted this to the sork list, but from a reply I got, it seemed 
more like a horde issue maybe, so I am posting it here.

I am using LDAP for authentication, and my usernames are in the form 
user at domain.com.  I am not using realms with horde.

I can log into imp fine and check mail, etc, but trying to change a 
password via passwd is not working.  It seems like passwd is not passing 
the @domain.com part of the username.  Here is a link for an archive of
