[horde] Horde3-ALPHA requirements

Anyone, 

I tried installing Horde3-ALPHA with the recent framework, but pear wont work for me. I tried updating pear with pear-1.3 but I
cant get through pear installation screen. It prompt me with the following errors:

[root at my share]# pear
<br />
<b>Fatal error</b>:  Call to undefined function:  getoptions() in <b>/usr/bin/pear</b> on line <b>34</b><br />
...

Was it caused by an old pear? Here's the default pear:

...
[root at my share]# ls -la /usr/bin/pear
-rwxr-xr-x    1 root     root         5951 Apr 24  2003 /usr/bin/pear
...

I am using Redhat 9 with php-4.2.2. Please share your ideas.
