[horde] Installing on Windows

Hi,

if you use a windows binary distribution from the php.net site,
php_gettext.dll should automatically reside in php\extensions.

All you have to do is to uncomment the "extension=php_gettext.dll" line in
your php.ini file and maybe copy the file from the extensions to the dlls
dir. Or you might change php.ini:extension_dir to ".\extensions" instead.

Same with php_imap, php_domxml and the like. Apache/PHP & Horde/IMP works
fine here. (As a development enviroment)

Can't help with the Apache part, but Mike graciously posted my first draft
of a how-to for IIS6 on wiki.horde.org. Eventho it's specific to IIS it
might give you some help on installing PHP with all the necessary
extensions.

I'm trying to setup the horde project (2.2.5) on a Windows 2k server,
running Apache, php & MySQL - in particular IMP.

 

Horde requires gettext, so I've found and tried to install the GnuWin
gettext, and also the libiconv, as this is a required module (?).

 

I've installed the exe, however, horde is still not recognising that gettext
is installed. (I've successfully got the test.php page, which says about
gettext)

PHP Module Capabilities

*	DOM XML Support: No 
*	FTP Support: Yes 
*	Gettext Support: No 
*	Horde will not run without gettext support. Compile php
--with-gettext before continuing.

 

Does anyone have any suggestions?
