[horde] IMAP message parsing slowdown...

To the horde:
I'm running gentoo 2004.1 (newest rsync w/ all newest ebuilds
emerged -- ''depgraph'' listed below) w/ courier-imap and the newest
horde/imp HEAD CVS. I've an issue where the IMAP message parsing seems
to be taking a VERY long time given my architechture and the fact that
the rest of Horde runs blazingly fast. (2x 3ghz xeon & tier 1 internet)
However, upon going into a folder w/ say 150 msgs & the largest three
messages at 300k, it takes 5 seconds with all ''routines'' (display
attachment icon, importance level color, js preview) OFF, and about 15
with them all ON. On a folder w/ even 15 1k msgs, it takes 2-3 secs,
while displaying notes takes say ~500msec. I'm not running the bleeding
edge courier-imap / uwash libs / php but still the newest 'unmasked /
stable' builds.
I had an initial issue where famd support in courier is somehow
forced, not obeying the gentoo USE parameters, but upon installing famd,
nothing complained, and it supposedly enhances imap server performance.
(fam = file alteration monitor, for helping courier-imap from re-reading
folders that haven't changed if their still in memory somewhere) I've
tried the imapproxy but, doesn't help a bit, as all apache:php:horde/imp
-> imap is localhost, non ssl, so it should be blazingly.
I am using the vilma sql for courier-imap and postfix -> mysql
backend intergration but, it seems flawless, but I'm investigating it now..
Please, any ideas?
