[horde] module installer?

hi

has anybody looked at adding a installer into the admin pages to add modules

i.e. 	upload of the archive with the option to install, replace or upgrade
	with a script that uncompress the file into a folder and renames the
.dist
	and adds it self to the admin for setup

Is this possible
