[horde] problems with error log

hello there,

  i am new to horde, i have configured everything and checked it with
test.php. now i have two problems.

1) my error log is not working on erronious login i am getting following error:
"A fatal error has occurred:

An error has occurred. Furthermore, Horde encountered an error attempting 
to log this error. Please check your Horde logging configuration in
horde/config/horde.php.

[line 191 of /var/www/html/horde/lib/Horde.php]"

2) i am working with postfix, courier imap, horde and mysql. i am trying
to authenticate horde with using imap so it removes two times login. but
some how it is not working.
