[horde] horde, php4, imap and Debian

I am abandoning my plan to use mysql to authenticate horde logins, and
have decided to allow IMP to handle it instead. One problem: the IMP
test page tells me my php has no IMAP support.

I have installed php4-imap but it is either not that it seeks or it is
not loading.

If anyone can help me trace this, I will be very grateful.
