[horde] Left menu loading with IE

Recently the left menu loading time has become extreme with EI 6 over https.
Every time the left menu refreshes it loads down some 260 images - and even
with a broadband connection, it  take some time and pretty much stops the app
from being useful while it loads.

Also expanding the left menu - does not show icons - only labels - and the are
all left justified - as if the whole tree structure is not there. When the left
menu refreshes - then the tree structure and icons appear.

These problems do no happen with Firefox

I am running 12/17 snapshot with most applications loaded.
