[horde] Intermittant Imap authentication failures

Periodically I am experiencing imap authentication failures.

Everything  works fine and then all logons faile with this message  in
/tmp/horde.log

Jan 27 14:09:31 HORDE [error] [imp] FAILED LOGIN 192.168.1.139 to
localhost:143[imap/notls] as userxxx [on line 247 of
"/var/www/html/horde/imp/lib/Auth/imp.php"]

and this message in /var/www/html/error_log
[Thu Jan 27 14:09:31 2005] [error] PHP Notice:  (null)(): Connection failed to
localhost,143: Connection timed out (errflg=2) in Unknown on line 0

If I recstart  xinetd - everything starts working again.
I read somewhere that this may be caused by interfearance from another imap
client ( like Outlook )

Anybody have this problem or know anythings about this ?
