Hello to everyone.
i have just installed the new versions of horde and some of its applications
on a brand new linux SuSE 9.1 server.
i can see lots of updates and features added to the current stable release
and i would like to send you my compliments for the work done.
as i can see from the framework, there is a lot of integration between each
component, but as i can see, it lacks of extensibility:
can i add an external site on the user's menu? (i made it by hand adding a
new application to the registry.php under /horde/config)
is it possible to use a sort of single sign on to permit access to external
sites without asking the user to login to each site?
as far as i knowthere is no horde module that implements such a thing.
for your information, i have seen the SAP's Enterprise Portal project, based
on sap web application services, that implemets such a thing:
it asks the administrator to link the external application to the portal,
insert the authentication page's HTML (post or get are both managed) and it
asks to the users to add their credentials to each external site.
with this method, all the credentials are stored on a SQL or LDAP backend,
and the external contant can be viewed within the framework.
will you plan to implement something like this to the framework?
thank you a lot.
i hope to give a hand by typing some code for this implementation, as far as
my PHP knowledge will assist me.
