I've had the same problem :
Set: mmcache.shm_only="1" in your php.ini (many thanks to Thomas O'Brien)
I also got errors regarding  IMAP/Sort.php  :
mmcache.filter="*.php !/usr/local/lib/php/Horde/IMAP/Sort.php"
--> cache *.php except the one with the !
