I don't want to abandon the above questions...but after a little more
investigation and some more thinking...
further testing shows that I can just edit the horde_datatree and change
the user_id for the shared object to recapture the 'zombie' object
(object owned by a deleted user). This sort of answers the next two
questions for hacking purposes but not for elegance.
so further questions...
- is there any method within horde that searches and captures 'zombie'
objects?
- is there any method within horde that handles moving objects from one
user to another?
