normal IMAP behavior is to set delete flag and item is deleted when
purge is selected. That is the method of using IMAP per rfc and
virtually all IMAP clients respect that.

If you wish to go against the standards and have it your way - see
horde/imp/config/prefs - but I would recommend against it. Only someone
that doesn't understand IMAP would ask the question.
