[horde] Adding auto-refresh to login?

Since there's still no strong code to fix the initial "message not  
found" messages when you have multiple servers I was wondering if  
there was a way to force an auto-refresh of the inbox as soon as you  
log in.  From our testing it seems like if that's the first thing you  
do you never see that message not found error.  It may be a hack but  
if it prevents our users from freaking out and deluging us with  
complaints I'm all for it.

On a completely different note... is there a setting somewhere that  
will make a text box permanently stay on the search page?  It seems  
that the necessity to select a field first before a text box pops up  
to enter your search criteria is confusing to a vast majority of our  
users (seems to fail the principle of least astonishment...).  So is  
there an easy way to change this behavior or do I have to hack?
