[horde] VFS Storage

I have an OpenBSD server doing mail, web, etc that lately has been  
hitting the kern.maxfiles value (max # open files).  It appears that  
Horde is the culprit.  Looking over my settings, I see that I set VFS  
to use the local disk instead of database.  Besides the benefit of  
the extra writes to disk (and possible security hazards), are there  
any other benefits or drawbacks of moving to SQL VFS that I'm  
overlooking?
