[horde] How to apply a patch

Hi, I have download patch for my horde. I have horde
3.1-RC2 and I want to apply patch
patch-horde-3.1-3.1.1.gz. How I should apply patch?, I
had been looking for a procedure for it, but I did not
find nothing. 
I have decompressed the file:
#gunzip patch-horde-3.1-3.1.1.gz
but I do no know what is the next step
