[horde] CVS generating configuration fails

When trying to configure horde-CVS (2006 05 04) for the first time, it gives
the following error:

There was an error in the configuration form. Perhaps you left out a
required field.

The stable release (3.1.1) works fine on the same system.

When the configuration page reloads, it automatically jumps to the first
page with a red value on it. Standard, this is signup, where the "Allow
non-registered users to register and provide a link on the login screen?"
setting is set to 'no'. Even when this is set to 'yes', it automatically
pops up and stays red.

The server runs Suse 9.1, PHP 4.3.4, apache 2, and MySQL 4.0.18.

 

Has anyone else had these problems with a similar setup?
