[horde] Sharing calendars to LDAP groups

Some folks in our office are getting impatient for shared calendars,
so I'm trying to get that set up, but I'm not able to share calendars
to LDAP groups.  LDAP groups are listed, and I can assign permissions
to them, but assigned permissions don't seem to have any effect.  I'm
using Horde 3.1.1 and Kronolith 2.1.1.

I found the following thread saying that this is a problem in the
current version of Horde, and it suggests a workaround:

According to the following bug report, it's been fixed in HEAD:

I looked in CVS, but I've been unable to locate the fix.  I tried the
workaround suggested in the mailing list, but I couldn't find a
perm_default value in horde_datatree_attribute.

Could someone please point me in the right direction to a fix?  Or am
I better off waiting for the next release?
