[horde] error retrieving / writing session data

hi all

the cache problem is ok now, but the session handling problem is still
there.

no matter i use mysql horde_sessionhandler table or php default file based
session handler, the result is the same - after login i need to wait for 3 -
5 minutes to get the main page.

the horde.log says [when i use mysql to handle sessions] "error retrieving
session data" and "error writing session data".  i don't know why because i
use the script to generate the mysql database, and put in the right mysql
user and password, and of course, the table name [which comes in default].

the php.ini file i have session.auto_start = 0, and session.cookie_path = /,
these are default values.

can anyone give me a hand?
