[horde] Help for a novice?

Hi John,

My host (IXWebhosting) use Horde as their default webmail interface, but I
don't believe it's the latest version. As I have the ability to add
subdomains on my account and install any interface I want, I thought I'd
give it a go and as I'm already familiar with using Horde that seemed like a
good place to start.

I originally tried Squirrelmail but as this requires running a perl script
to configure it, I was unable to complete the installation.

I guess the main reason for doing this at all is because I want to learn -
and I figure the best way to learn is to just try it and see if I can get it
to work. But after looking through the install instructions, it all began
to feel like learning Chinese - but then if I can get a few translations
thrown in by those who already speak the language, hopefully I'll be able to
get going!

Anyway, I appreciate your response - I'll certainly have a go at amending
the servers.php file as you suggest, but the only thing that still concerns
me is the amount of errors I get on the test.php page and also the fact that
I'm being automatically authenticated as Administrator when I go to the main
interface (http://webmail.valiante.co.uk).

Regards,

Valiante
