[horde] problem with cvs

hi!
I hope that some can help me. I have a problem with download on 
moduls with cvs :
    the error which return is:
    cvs checkout: Updating vilma
    cvs checkout: failed to create lock directory for 
`/repository/vilma' (/var/lock/cvs/vilma/#cvs.lock): Permission denied
    cvs checkout: failed to obtain dir lock in repository 
`/repository/vilma'
    cvs [checkout aborted]: read lock failed - giving up
    Can you give me some idea, how i can resolve this problem?
