[horde] Kronolith: Sunbird and UTF-8 problem

I'm not sure if this is a problem with horde or with sunbird, but when
I am subscribing to my remote calendars I am receiving a
'CAL_UTF8_DECODING_FAILED' error.

The calendar I'm attempting to view contains Japanese characters as
well as regular ascii characters.

Is this a problem on hordes side? Or a sunbird issue? And is anyone
aware of a workaround/solution?
