I can't see what's the problem with my preference settings, it worked
so far for months now:

$conf['prefs']['params']['hostspec'] = 'localhost';
$conf['prefs']['params']['port'] = 389;
$conf['prefs']['params']['version'] = '3';
$conf['prefs']['params']['basedn'] = 'ou=hordeprefs,dc=mydomain,dc=org';
$conf['prefs']['params']['searchdn'] = 'cn=admin,dc=mydomain,dc=org';
$conf['prefs']['params']['searchpw'] = 'xxxxxx';
$conf['prefs']['params']['writedn'] = 'searchdn';
$conf['prefs']['params']['uid'] = 'uid';
$conf['prefs']['driver'] = 'ldap';

The alarm script gives the another error on the command line:

Notice: unserialize(): Error at offset 103 of 106 bytes in
/var/www/html/horde/kronolith/lib/Driver/sql.php on line 877

Warning: array_change_key_case(): The argument should be an array in
