[horde] S/MIME issue

I would tail -f /tmp/horde.log
and set $conf['log']['priority'] = PEAR_LOG_DEBUG in the horde conf.php 
file.
See whats happening.
Also tail your imap server auth logs if you are authing against a imap 
server.
