[horde] How can a user choose to use DIMP instead of IMP when using custom sql?

I have hordeauth=full in my IMP config and I am using custom SQL to authenticate. But after switching to custom SQL,
the user can't choose between IMP and DIMP any more... Is there an option I am missing?

(Running Horde Groupware Webmail 1.1.1)
