[horde] Bottleneck ? CPU or HDisk IO or RAM

For webmail, at least, the bottleneck is almost always the IMAP  
server.  To a certain extent, Horde/IMP can code around this (IMP 5 is  
much more efficient with imp->IMAP traffic for example), but IMAP  
servers tend to be very heavy hard drive I/O processes.  Especially  
when you have many users, and these users all like to maintain 10,000+  
message INBOXes.
