[horde] Problems with Mac keyboard after updating to horde-webmail-1.2.2

After upgrading horde-webmail-1.2 to horde-webmail-1.2.2
I have a weird problem. Mac OSX (leopard) users can't enter the @ character
from their keyboard when trying to compose a message.
Cut'n paste from another window into the 'To' header in the 'new message'
window works.
The problem is browser independant. It happens with safari as well as with
firefox.
