[horde] How to access horde folder from the apache root folder ?

Hello kind people,

Long time, no write.

Here's a silly question.
Have installed Horde-webmail edition on a CentOS 5.5
(i386) system running httpd php perl and mysql.
Everything works fine (as it should be).
However, I would like for the users to point their
browsers directly to the machines' ip address (that's
without the "/horde" at the end of the address).
Is there a way to make this work ?

Tried "ln -s /var/www/horde/index.php index.php" and
      "ln -s /var/www/horde/index.php index.html" 
but it prints out (what seems to me) gibberish on the
httpd root folder.

Any ideas ?
