Got it working (for me at last) by replacing the line with the list()
function (Line 166) of  Command/Alert.php
(in the horde PEAR dir)  with:

$clientlast = $r[syncml_clientanchor];
$serverAnchorLast = $r[syncml_serveranchor];

I also addad this as a comment to the Bug Report you already made.
