Use Cyrus' "imtest" command to connect and issue raw IMAP commands. 
You'll see something like this:

C01 namespace
* NAMESPACE (("" ".")) (("Other Users." ".")) (("Shared Folders." "."))
C01 OK Completed


The command I issued was "C01 namespace".
