You will see something like this.
First an incoming <Synchronize> request...then

2011-06-21T09:52:51+02:00 INFO: Horde_ActiveSync_Driver_Horde::logon
attempt for: user at example.com
The thing to look for is the logon attempt immediately after the
getMessage request. This indicates that PHP crashed while polling for
the calendar entry.

Not sure which version specifically. The original poster for that bug
had stated it was the php5 package from Debian - don't remember which
Debian version though.
