Ouch, I noticed that it was not ldap, so I changed it I must of entered the wrong DN and/or user as now it bombs:

What is the value of  $conf[auth][driver] in your authentication tab?
Perhaps you want to set it to LDAP and configure the rest of the LDAP parameters.  I don't use LDAP so I can't help you, but you may also need/want to edit backends.local.php
