I'm by no means an expert on SyncML, but at one point these were  
supposed to be "calendar", "contacts", and "tasks". Not sure if this  
has changed or not...

A sync anchor is simply a shared reference to the sync state at a  
particular point in time. If there are no anchors, that means that  
there has never been a previous sync, or the previous syncstate was  
removed and the device should perform an initial (slow?) sync.

I'm afraid I'm of no help here as I don't use BB devices.
