[horde] Euro symbol turns to question mark

Hi,

when I send a mail with a Euro symbol then the recipient will see a  
question mark instead in the message text.
In the subject line the Euro symbol survives.

In Sent Items I already can see the question mark symbol instead of  
the Euro symbol.

Any clue what this is?
