Please look at the bug tracker. This is a known issue. Actually passwd
works - it changes your password. It's just IMP cannot handle that
change correctly. If you use other auth methods and no imp, it will
all just work. But I know most users of horde also use imp.

In the ticket you can find a patch that would make imp accept the
change. It is a dirty patch though which will not go upstream.

If I am healthy again before christmas, I will expand passwd 5.0 and
give an option to logout the user upon successful change.
