If I change it to /usr/share/git-horde5/horde (and when you explain it
like that, I understand why I have it wrong) then the login page at
least loads (but it loads without a theme.

The log has these errors (a small selection, they seem to repeat)...

However, when I try to login, I get an error about
The page isn't redirecting properly
          Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the
request for this address in a way that will never complete.
  This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept
    cookies.

(but all cookies are accepted).

There is a ticket open about this error on horde.org, but the solution
- as far is there one - seems to relate to an older version of
Horde_Core and I seem to have the latest version.

At this point, I changed to $app_webroot = '../'; (becase, if it's
supposed to be fileroot/webroot, then this is where imp, kronolith,
etc, are located) and I get the login page with the theme and I can
log in!  But I have no apps :)

And the log says:

At this point I would love to either edit the code to see what path it
is actually looking at, or change the application fileroot manually in
registry.local.php.  Can you tell me how to do that?
