Michael,

Definition of whether it is helpful or not really depends on point of  
view :) Whilst it may not be helpful for you in fixing the underlying  
cause (i.e. resolve the *problem*), reverting to 2.2.4 has obviously  
helped a few people recover broken email since Horde_Mime-2.2.5 was  
installed (so for them it has resolved the *incident*).

As I am not a PHP dev, my limitations in troubleshooting set a very  
low bar - so I recovered my system to a working position, and advised  
what I did to the list. It is IMO a reasonable position for people to  
take to revert an upgrade that breaks their system, and it appears  
that a few others have now done the same thing to recover.

BTW, regarding your comments in the bug about PHP versions - version  
of PHP on my system 5.3.27 was released about 4 weeks ago, and I still  
ran into this issue.

Happy to help as much as I can, and I will try the fix you have posted  
(thanks) on the weekend (although I imagine others will probably get  
to it before then).
