Found the problem. I had an backends.local.php which still demanded the
category object which has been removed from the database in the latest
database revision for turba. Having updated that turba runs smoothly again.
I hope I have not bothered anyone with my monologue but perhaps it might
help someone with similar problems. Sadly the activesyncproblem has not
vanished (so it´s at least two separate problems after all)...
