Hey
Please don't top post. And you might consider stripping the digest content.
I don't know Dovecot i'm using courier but:
First i would check that you can telnet to dovecot and that it answers you
with imap version oa.
If that is in order.
Are there any errors in syslog, mail.log php.log or horde.log...
If so are they coursed by missing or wrong file permissions in Horde.
